Our Staff Team

The Heartbeat of SJCC's Daily Work

Behind every program, workshop, newsletter, and advocacy effort is our dedicated, mission-driven staff. This small team of professionals and community advocates handles operations, outreach, education, and support—ensuring we reach residents across San Jose effectively and efficiently.

All staff are passionate about equity, public health, and community empowerment, aligning closely with the City's ongoing Cannabis Equity Program (including support for the 10 eligible equity candidates selected in 2024 from the 29 academy graduates) and statewide opportunities like the FY 2025-26 Cannabis Equity Grants Program for Local Jurisdictions (applications closed December 2025, awards expected early 2026).

She holds a Master's in Public Policy from UC Berkeley and lives in East San Jose.

Michael Brown

Michael Brown
